PROBLEM
When a website link, application, or content is embedded in an ArcGIS StoryMaps story, the page navigates to the embedded item while scrolling through other sections, interrupting the page visitor's experience when navigating through the story.
The embedded content have iframe tags that redirect the visitor to the embedded content.
Use one of the following workarounds below to integrate content into an ArcGIS StoryMaps story.
Add the content as a link
Adding content as a link enables it to be opened in a new browser tab instead of integrating it directly into a story. Refer to ArcGIS StoryMaps: Format and convert text for more information.
Display the embedded content as a card
Alternatively, set the embedded content to be displayed as a card in the story. ArcGIS StoryMaps provides an option to embed content in a story as a card. The preview of a card pulls the title, description, and thumbnail from the embedded content. Similar to a link, clicking a card in a story opens a new tab navigating page visitors to the content. Refer to ArcGIS StoryMaps: Add embeds for more information.
