PROBLEM
In ArcGIS Pro, web tools can be used to share analysis with others users in an ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Web tools are first created and run in ArcGIS Pro before being shared to a portal. In addition to sharing new web tools, existing web tools in a portal can be overwritten to reflect changes. However, in some instances, when attempting to share or overwrite a web tool from ArcGIS Pro, the Share Web Tool and Overwrite Web Tool functions are unavailable.
The Share Web Tool and Overwrite Web Tool functions are unavailable when accessed from the Share tab and the History pane.
The user is logged in to ArcGIS Pro using an ArcGIS Online account instead of an ArcGIS Enterprise account.
An ArcGIS Enterprise account is required to access the Share Web Tool and Overwrite Web Tool functions. Log in to ArcGIS Pro using an ArcGIS Enterprise account instead of an ArcGIS Online account to resolve the issue. Refer to Portal for ArcGIS: Use ArcGIS Pro with your portal for further instructions.
Additionally, ensure the Publish web tools administrative privilege is enabled for the portal account to successfully run the functions. Refer to Portal for ArcGIS: Administrative privileges for more information.
After logging in with a portal account in ArcGIS Pro, the Share Web Tool and Overwrite Web Tool functions are available when accessed from both the Share tab and the History pane.
