The message 'No Visible Layers' is displayed in ArcGIS Field Maps

Description

When adding features in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app, the message, ‘No Visible Layers’, is displayed as shown in the following image.

Cause

• The web map contains layers with relationship(s).
• The editing capability for one of the layers in the web map is disabled.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause, use one of the following workarounds.

Enable 'Show Related Types' in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app

Perform the following workaround if there is a relationship between layers in the web map.

1. Log in to the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app via ArcGIS Online.
2. On the top left corner, tap Profile .
3. Tap Collection Settings > Related Types.
4. Toggle on Show Related Types.

Enable 'Show related types' in the ArcGIS Field Maps web app

Note: 
This feature is not yet supported in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Perform the following workaround if there is a relationship between layers in the web map.

1. Log in to the ArcGIS Field Maps web app via ArcGIS Online.
2. On the Maps page, browse to and click the web map.
3. On the left of the page, click App settings > Collection.
4. In the Collection section, toggle on Show related types.

5. Click Save changes on the top right corner of the page.

Enable the editing capabilities of the hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online and click Content > My Content.
2. Browse to and click the hosted feature layer.
3. On the item details page, click the Settings tab.
4. Scroll down to the Feature Layer (hosted) section and check the Enable editing check box.

5. Click Save.

Features can now be added on the web map and the message 'No Visible Layers' is no longer displayed in ArcGIS Field Maps.
