The graticule disappears when rotating the contents of a data frame

When rotating the contents of a data frame, the graticule disappears. The data frame is using a geographic coordinate system.

Solution or Workaround

Instead of using a geographic coordinate system, set your data frame to use the Plate Carree projected coordinate system.

  1. Open the Data Frame Properties dialog box and select the Coordinate System tab.
  2. Select Predefined > Projected Coordinate Systems > World > Plate Carree (world) from the list of coordinate systems.
  3. Click OK to close the Data Frame Properties dialog box.
  4. Rotate the data frame to the desired angle using the rotation tools on the Data Frame Tools toolbar.
