The GeoEvent Service and output count does not increase after upgrading ArcGIS GeoEvent Server

Description

In some instances, after upgrading ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, the GeoEvent Services and output count do not increase despite the input receiving events.

Cause

The ArcGIS GeoEvent Server account does not have permission to read the local program folder.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve the issue, check and grant permissions to the GeoEvent Server service account for the local program folder. The default location for the program folder is:

C:\Program Files\ArcGIS

The service account requires the 'Read', 'Write', and 'Modify' permissions for the local program folder. For more information on how to grant permissions, refer to the 'Solution or Workaround' section in Error: The ArcGIS Server is not able to connect to the specified directory.
