The Exploratory 3D Analysis tools are not available in ArcGIS Pro

Description

In ArcGIS Pro, when clicking to expand the Exploratory 3D Analysis drop-down list, only the Object Detection tool is shown in the list.

Cause

This is expected behavior when opening the tools list on a map. The Exploratory 3D Analysis tools can only be fully utilized in a scene. 2D maps lack depth and elevation properties in comparison to local or global scenes. By default, tools that are unusable for 2D maps are hidden.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve the issue, convert the map to a local or global scene.

1. In ArcGIS Pro, on the ribbon, click the View tab.
2. In the View group, click Convert and select either To Global Scene or To Local Scene. In this example, To Global Scene is selected. A new 3D map is displayed.

3. On the ribbon, click the Analysis tab.
4. In the Workflows group, click the Exploratory 3D Analysis drop-down list.
