The dialog box in the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension in Adobe Illustrator is disabled

Description

In some instances, when using the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension in Adobe Illustrator and opening a new window, the mapboard freezes, and the ArcGIS Maps dialog box is disabled, as shown in the image below:

Cause

The issue is related to the cached information of Adobe Illustrator's extension update and the authentication of the ArcGIS Online credentials used to log in to Adobe Illustrator which disables the extension.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve the issue, navigate to the specified locations and delete the cache folders.

1. Close Adobe Illustrator.
2. Navigate to the following location, and delete the .cookie file.

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\m4cc\config

Note:
The AppData folder is hidden. To display hidden folders, refer to Microsoft Windows Support: Show hidden files.

3. Navigate to the following location:

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Temp\<A number>\cep_cache

4. Delete the following folders:

• ILST_24.3.0_com.esri.ArcGISForAdobeCC.Compilation
• ILST_24.3.0_com.esri.ArcGISForAdobeCC.Mapboards
• ILST_24.3.0_com.esri.ArcGISForAdobeCC.Runtime
• ILST_24.3.0_com.esri.ArcGISForAdobeCC.Signin

Note:
The .cookie file and the related cache folders are recreated after launching and logging in to Adobe Illustrator with the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension.
