The custom web style is not displayed in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer

Description

After sharing a custom web style from ArcGIS Pro, the web style is still not displayed in the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Category list in the 'Symbol style' pane.

Cause

The group the web style is shared in is not set as the 2D or 3D web style group in the Organizations settings in ArcGIS Online.

Solution or Workaround

Before proceeding with the following workaround, ensure the web style is already shared in a group when publishing the web style from ArcGIS Pro. This can be configured in the Share As A Web Style pane in ArcGIS Pro as shown in the image below.

Configure the group in the Organization settings in ArcGIS Online.

1. Log in to the ArcGIS Online organization account as an administrator.
2. Click Organization > Settings > Map.
3. Scroll down to the Web styles section, under 2D web style group or 3D web style group, select the group where the web style is shared in.

The image below shows the custom web style now available in the 'Symbol style' pane in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.
