Tangent curves are displaced from adjoining line segments when drawn in ArcMap

Description

This problem is addressed in ArcGIS 8.1 Service Pack 1. See Related Information section to download this pack.The start or end segment of a curve can appear to be disconnected from adjoining line segments. This can also cause fill symbols to appear to bleed beyond the boundaries of a polygon.

Cause

This is a problem with the display driver. The lines are actually connected and the data is not affected. Some displays may show more offset than others. Printing the map may also show this problem.
