Snap tips cannot be seen in the map topology tutorial exercise

Description

When doing the map topology tutorial exercise (Exercise 5 of the Editing GIS Features section in the Geodatabase Workbook), the snap tips that are mentioned cannot be seen.

Cause

This is due to an error in the tutorial. The snap tip setting is not saved with the map document but rather in the Normal.mxt file, so if you have not previously set up snap tips on your machine, you won't see them when you do the tutorial.

Solution or Workaround

1. Click Editor and click Options.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Check the Show snap tips check box.
4. Click OK.
