Relational ArcGIS Data Store validation fails in ArcGIS Enterprise portal

Description

After moving the virtual machines hosting ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Workflow Manager to a new Active Directory domain, validation of the registered relational ArcGIS Data Store fails in the ArcGIS Enterprise portal. As a result, hosted layers do not load in the portal.

Cause

Joining the virtual machines to a new Active Directory domain breaks the registration and trust relationship between the ArcGIS Enterprise portal, hosting server, and the relational ArcGIS Data Store, preventing successful validation of the server-managed database.

Solution or Workaround

1. Run the Windows Command Prompt as an administrator and navigate to the ArcGIS Data Store utilities folder. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: ArcGIS Data Store utility reference for more information.
2. Run the 'unregisterdatastore' command utility to unregister the relational data store. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: unregisterdatastore.
3. Run the 'registerdatastore' command utility to reregister the relational data store. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: registerdatastore.
