Problem: Problems Removing and Adding a MapService of the Same Name

Using Administrator to remove and add a MapService of the same name, does not look at the latest AXL file layers. The problem will manifest itself when you try to view the MapService. Instead of reflecting the updated layer names, the old layer name will remain.
This applies to ArcIMS 3.0 and ArcIMS 3.1.

Cause

There is a problem with communication between the client software and the ArcIMS Spatial Server.

Solution or Workaround

The problem can be solved by adding a new MapService with a different name.

This is an informational troubleshooting item as something to check if unexpected errors are reported from a user.
