Point symbol is not displayed when selecting a geopoint in ArcGIS Survey123

Description

When answering a geopoint question in ArcGIS Survey123, selecting a location on the map does not display the point symbol, as shown in the map below.

Cause

The survey is published from an older version of ArcGIS Survey123 and is not compatible with the updated release.

Solution or Workaround

1. Log in to ArcGIS Survey123.
2. Click the My surveys tab.
3. Navigate to the survey and click More options > Settings.
4. On the Version tab, under Web app version, select the Always use the latest version option.
5. Click Save.

The map below displays the point symbol after a location is selected in the geopoint question.
