Numerical fields from an OLE DB data source display incorrectly in ArcMap

Description

Numerical fields from an OLE DB data source display incorrectly in ArcMap.

Cause

This is a known issue when using the Jet 3.51 and Jet 4.0 OLE DB providers. The default format for the fields is incorrectly set to have zero decimal places in ArcMap.

Solution or Workaround

  1. Select the OLE DB table and right-click the table object in the TOC panel in ArcMap.
  2. Click Properties.
  3. In the table Properties menu, select the number field you wish to modify and click Format.
  4. In the top right section of the Number Format menu, Rounding, modify the decimal places you wish to see displayed in the table window.
