PROBLEM
In ArcGIS Pro, members can view Microsoft Excel data by adding CSV files as non-editable stand-alone tables. Refer to ArcGIS Blog: Work with Microsoft Excel and CSV files in ArcGIS Pro for more information. Sometimes, adding a CSV file to ArcGIS Pro displays the numeric field values in scientific notation, as shown in the image below.
Depending on the cause, use one of the following workarounds to display the numeric field values accurately in ArcGIS Pro.
Use a custom number format in ArcGIS Pro
In ArcGIS Pro, use a custom number format to display the scientific notation as custom numeric format strings. Refer to How To: Change numbers in scientific notation to a custom numeric format string in ArcGIS Pro for steps and more information.
Export the CSV file as a geodatabase table, and convert the numeric field to a text field
In ArcGIS Pro, export the CSV file as a geodatabase table and convert the scientific notation to numeric values in a new text field.
Change the field's cell format in Microsoft Excel before importing the CSV file to ArcGIS Pro
Note: Keep the Microsoft Excel file open throughout the workaround. Closing Microsoft Excel converts the field values back to scientific notation.
In Microsoft Excel, change the field's cell format to Number and add the CSV file to ArcGIS Pro. Refer to Microsoft: Available number formats in Excel for more information.
The field displays the accurate values in the attribute table after a custom number format is used in ArcGIS Pro, as shown in the image below.
