Description

The Edit widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder supports editing records and features in both 2D and 3D environments. In certain scenarios, the ‘No value’ option is included in the drop-down list during feature editing, resulting in invalid attribute entries and affecting data presentation and analysis.

The No value option appears in the drop-down list

Cause

The web app in ArcGIS Experience Builder uses a web map field configured with a coded value domain, where the underlying feature layer field allows null values. ArcGIS Experience Builder honors the web map's layer configuration and therefore includes the ‘No value’ option in the drop-down list.

Solution or Workaround

Configure the web map in Map Viewer

  1. Open the web map used by the web app in Map Viewer.
  2. On the Contents (dark) toolbar, click Layers The Layer icon in Map Viewer and select the preferred layer.
  3. On the Settings (light) toolbar, click Configure editing The Configure editing icon in Map Viewer > Forms.
  4. Configure the field.
    1. In the Configure form window, under Fields, drag and drop the preferred field to the form canvas to add the field. In this example, Fuel_Type is added.
    2. Click the field element on the canvas to open the Properties pane.
    3. Scroll down to Logic and check the Required check box. Click OK to apply the changes.
The Logic section of the field
  1. Save the web map.
  2. Refresh the web app in ArcGIS Experience Builder, and the drop-down list in the Edit widget is configured correctly.
