Network IO error

** Fixed at ArcGIS 8.2 **This error occurs when clicking zoom to selected extent button for a database theme:"Network IO error"The connection to SDE is consequently broken.

Cause

This is a known problem with Oracle SDE layers stored as Oracle spatial data objects (SDO) and SDE 8.1 (Database Access 2.1c).

Solution or Workaround



Use SDE layers stored as ArcSDE compressed binary layers.
