Label strings returned from ArcInfo coverages are garbled

Description

Strings returned from a MapLayer based on an ArcInfo coverage are garbled. This may occur when using LabelPlacer, LabelRenderer, or returning the Value of a string Field in the Recordset.

Cause

CodePage support in MapObjects LT 2.0 does not include coverages.

Solution or Workaround



This is a known limitation. Codepage support for coverages is planned for
Professional MapObjects 2.1. The solution at MapObjectsLT 2.0 is to convert the coverage to a shapefile.
