Features not highlighted on infographic maps in the ArcGIS Experience Builder Business Analyst widget

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, selected features are not highlighted on infographic maps generated through the Business Analyst widget, which creates difficulty in identifying them, as demonstrated in the infographic below.

Cause

The Business Analyst widget does not support certain mapping styles with numeric values and therefore these features are not highlighted in the infographics. The affected style options include the following:

• Charts
• Charts and Size
• Predominant category and Size – Counts and Amounts (size)
• Relationship and Size
  

Solution or Workaround

Duplicate the original layer and configure the mapping style in Map Viewer

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online.
2. In Map Viewer, in the Layers pane, click Options on the layer and select Duplicate .
3. On the Settings (light) toolbar, click Styles .
4. In the Styles pane, under Pick a style, click Location (single symbol).

Note: 
Optionally, under Symbol style, edit the layer's symbol properties to remove the fill and retain only the outline, allowing both layers to be viewed simultaneously. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Change symbol style for more information.

5. In the Styles pane, click Done > Done.
6. In the Layers pane, click Reposition . Drag and place the duplicated layer above the original layer.
7. On the Contents (dark) toolbar, click Save and open > Save .

Note: 
Alternatively, change the original layer's style to Location (single symbol) in Map Viewer. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Location (single symbol) for instructions.
