Feature Info widget not populated with map data in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

When using the Feature Info widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder with multiple views, the pop-up for a selected feature is not populated with map data. The Feature Info widget displays information only after the Map widget has been loaded at least once. After the initial load, pop-up information appears correctly in the Feature Info widget.

The Feature Info widget below shows no data when the experience is first opened.

After opening the Map widget at least once, the Feature Info widget is now filled with the appropriate data from the Map widget.

Cause

The Feature Info widget is set to ‘Interact with a Map widget’ and uses the Map widget as its data source. In this configuration, the widget updates only in response to interactions with the Map widget. If the Map widget is located on a different page or view and has not been loaded, the map context is not initialized, and no feature data is available for the Feature Info widget to display.

Solution or Workaround

Configure the Feature Info widget to use the ‘Select data’ option as its data source

1. Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder web experience.
2. Select the Feature Info widget on the canvas.
3. In the Feature Info panel, on the Content tab, under Source, click Select data > Add data.

4. In the Content configuration panel, under Data, click Select data.
5. In the Select data panel, select the web map to add the data.

6. Save, preview, and publish the experience.
