Description
When attempting to modify or create features with assigned attribute domains in Map Viewer, domain values added through the ArcGIS Online item details page are not available in the Create features section of the Editor pane.

Cause
This is a known limitation in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. Creating and modifying feature templates is only supported in Map Viewer Classic. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Manage feature templates for more information.
Solution or Workaround
To resolve the issue, manage the feature template with assigned domain values in Map Viewer Classic.
- In ArcGIS Online, navigate to Content > My Content.
- Browse to the hosted feature layer, click More Options
and select Open in Map Viewer Classic with full editing control. - In Map Viewer Classic, hover over the feature layer with the assigned domain values and click Change Style
. - In the Change Style pane, for Choose an attribute to show, click the drop-down button and select the field with the assigned attribute domains. In this example, ParcelStatus is selected.
- For Select a drawing style, click the preferred drawing style and click OPTIONS. In this example, Types (Unique Symbols) is selected.
- In the Change Style pane, the newly added domain value is grouped into the Other category. Click Move all values out.
- In the Change Style pane, hover over the new domain attribute value symbol and click Change symbol to configure the symbology. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Change symbols for more information.
- Click OK.
- In the Change Style pane, click OK > DONE.
- On the top ribbon, click Edit.
- In the Add Features pane, click MANAGE.
- In the Manage New Features pane, click the Layer drop-down button and select the layer with the domain attribute value. In this example, DroppointsParcel is selected.
- Click SAVE CHANGES.
- Click Open in Map Viewer to open the web map in Map Viewer.
