PROBLEM

Disabling the map extent filter does not reset non-active layer filters in the ArcGIS Experience Builder Table widget

Last Published: February 6, 2026

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, disabling the 'Filter by map extent' setting in the Table widget resets the active layer and displays all records. However, the non-active layers still display filtered records.

Cause

The Table widget does not automatically refresh all layers when 'Filter by map extent' is turned off. Therefore, when multiple layers are present, non-active layer filters do not fully reset and continue to display a filtered subset of records.

Solution or Workaround

Manually reset the table filter for each non-active layer

Toggle the Filter by map extent setting on and off in the Table widget for other affected layers to disable the automatic filter, allowing the table to display all records regardless of the map extent. Refer to ArcGIS Experience Builder: Table widget for more information.

Alternatives to reset the table filter from the Table panel:
• Toggle the Filter by map extent setting on and off.
• Uncheck and recheck the Enable by default check box.

The Table panel.

The Table widgets below show the difference in feature counts when the 'Filter by map extent' button is unselected.

Note:
Optionally, add the Filter widget to the web experience to apply filters to the preferred feature layers.
