DIGTEST does not work for digitizer on IRIX

Description

System fails to respond when running Arc command DIGTEST for IRIX.

Cause

Permissions and protocol used for serial port are incorrect.

Solution or Workaround

1. To ensure the permissions to the port do not change when rebooting your system, do the following as root:
   
   

   Code:
   # chmod 666 /hw/ttys/ttyd1
   # vi /etc/ioperms

   
   
   Add this line:
   
   

   /hw/ttys/ttyd1 0666 root sys

   
   
2. For DIGTEST, change 8bit to 7bit:
   
   

   digtest 9100 /dev/ttyd1:9600:7bit:even
