Default values are not displayed in ArcGIS Field Maps

Description

When filling a form in ArcGIS Field Maps, the default values are not displayed even if they have been configured in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer.

Cause

• The default values were configured in the Form tab in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer. Default values must be configured and saved in the Templates tab.
• The hosted layer feature used in the web map is corrupted.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause, the workarounds provided are applicable.

Set the default values on the Templates tab

1. In ArcGIS Field Maps, click the Templates tab.
2. Click the desired layer.
3. Under the Default Values section, type in the value and click Save. Refer to ArcGIS Field Maps: Set default values for further instructions.

Republish the web map

Delete and republish the web map using the same hosted feature layer used in ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Save maps (Map Viewer) for further instructions.
