Creating a circle in ArcGIS Pro returns a prompt to enter a larger radius value

Description

In some instances, when creating a circle by specifying the radius value in ArcGIS Pro, a prompt is returned with the message, 'Enter a larger radius. The value entered is too small for the circular arc.'

Cause

This issue occurs because the center point is not provided before specifying the radius value. The radius value field is displayed in red if the circle is created by right-clicking on the map and selecting Radius Radius.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve this issue, create the circle's center point before specifying the radius value.

  1. Click the map to create a center point. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Create a circle for more information.
  2. Right-click the center point and select Radius Radius.
  3. In the Radius dialog box, specify the radius value, and press Enter on the keyboard.
