Description
Using the Fly Controller widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder, a fly animation can be displayed to traverse a path or around a point on a 3D map. However, the Clear drawing or selection, Settings, and Play tools are disabled on the widget’s toolbar even though the 3D data have been added to the Map widget.

Cause
There is no point or path created in the Map widget from the Fly Controller widget.
Solution or Workaround
Draw a point or a path on the map using the Fly Controller widget.
- Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder project and navigate to the Insert widget panel.
- Under Map centric, drag and drop the Map widget onto the experience.
- In the panel on the right, on the Content tab, under Source, click the Select map button.
- In the Select data pane, select a 3D Web Scene. If necessary, click Add new data to add web scenes from ArcGIS Online.
- Drag and drop the Fly Controller widget from the Insert widget panel onto the experience.
- In the panel on the right, on the Content tab, select the map containing the 3D data from the Select a map widget with 3D data drop-down menu.
- Click the Live view button on the builder toolbar to interact with the widgets.
- On the Fly Controller widget toolbar, if the fly mode selected is Rotate fly, click Draw a point and place the point at the desired area on the Map widget. If the fly mode selected is Fly along path, click Draw a path and begin sketching multiple points on the Map widget. Double-click to finish the sketch.
- Click anywhere on the map to enable the Clear drawing or selection, Settings, and Play tools on the toolbar.
