Description
CAD feature class layers do not appear in ArcMap's Snapping Environment dialog box.
Cause
It is not possible to snap to CAD features.
Solution or Workaround
Convert the CAD feature class to a geodatabase feature class.
- In ArcCatalog, right-click the CAD feature class and select Export > CAD to Geodatabase.

- Add the new shapefile or geodatabase feature class to ArcMap. Use this feature layer in place of the CAD feature class layer for snapping.
- In the Editor pulldown menu, click Snapping to open the Snapping Environment dialog box.
- Check the appropriate snap agent for the geodatabase feature class layer.
