PROBLEM
ArcGISDesktopHelp931.msp file does not exist on the 9.3.1 Update DVD
Description
In the Install931.htm file on the 9.3.1 Update DVD under the ArcGIS-Windows folder, the first note under the Installation Note section states: “NOTE (ArcGIS Desktop 9.3 users): The ArcGIS Desktop Help updates setup (ArcGISDesktopHelp931.msp) includes updates for ArcGIS 9.3 Desktop Documentation, including Help files, core extension Help files, and tutorials. The ArcGIS Desktop setup (ArcGISDesktop931.msp) must be applied before the ArcGIS Desktop Help update.” There is no separate ArcGISDesktopHelp931.msp file; all the help updates for 9.3.1 are included in the product setups.
Cause
This note should have been removed from the install931.htm file, it is a documentation error.
Solution or Workaround
The ArcGIS Desktop Help for the ArcGIS 9.3.1 is included in the product setup files.The 'New ArcGIS 9.3.1 Install document' is available for viewing in the Related Information section. Please be aware that none of the links are active to the install setups, navigate to them on the DVD and then follow the installation instructions.
