ArcGIS World Geocoding Service does not display in ArcGIS Pro

Description

ArcGIS World Geocoding Service is not available and does not display in the Locate pane or in the Geocode Locations From Table tool in ArcGIS Pro.

Cause

This occurs when ArcGIS Pro loses its connection to the ArcGIS World Geocoding Service, causing the Locate tool to fail within the application.

Solution or Workaround

To circumvent the issue, manually add the World Locator to ArcGIS Pro.

1. In ArcGIS Pro, navigate to the Insert tab. Select Connections > Server > New ArcGIS Server. The Add ArcGIS Server Connection dialog box displays.
2. Enter the following in the Server URL text box:

https://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services

3. Click OK. If prompted, sign in with an ArcGIS Online account.
4. Select the Project tab in the Catalog pane.
5. Right-click Locators > Add Locator > Servers > services on geocode.arcgis.com.ags > World > OK.
