Description
When attempting to share an ArcGIS Pro project that contains an Excel data source, after clicking Analyze, an error is returned in The Package Project dialog as follows:
00032 Standalone table's data source is inaccessible
- In the ArcGIS Pro Contents pane, a red exclamation mark on the standalone table indicates that the data source is broken. Click this to repair the table's data source.
- In the Change data source dialog box, navigate to the source Excel spreadsheet and click Open. The following error is returned, as shown in the next image:
Required Microsoft driver is not installed.
Cause
There are missing Microsoft drivers and/or an incompatibility between Microsoft Office applications and ArcGIS Pro.
Solution or Workaround
- Click the Learn more link in the error message to open the help document: Install the drivers to work with Microsoft Excel files.
- Carefully study the Decision Tree Guide in the article to determine the necessary drivers for your environment, this depends on:
- The version of ArcGIS Pro
- The version of Microsoft Office on the machine: 32- or 64-bit
- The method used to install Office, .MSI or Click to run
Note:
Office 2013 and earlier are only .MSI installations.
- Install the required driver(s) for the environment in use. This may include:
- Installing Microsoft Access Database 2016 Redistributable Driver: 32- or 64-bit
- Installing Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime Installer 6.0.5 or later: 32- or 64-bit
It may be necessary to restart the machine after driver installation, once done, and the data source is repaired, packaging the project should proceed as expected.
