ArcGIS Experience Builder pop-ups leave behind gray artifacts on map

Description

In an ArcGIS Experience Builder web experience accessed via Google Chrome, a gray artifact box is left behind at the original location of a feature pop-up after the map is panned, as shown below.

Clearing the browser cache, recreating the experience, recreating the web map, and republishing the original data source does not resolve the issue.

Cause

Graphic acceleration is disabled or unavailable in Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome.

Solution or Workaround

Enable graphics acceleration in Google Chrome

  1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome The Customize and control Google Chrome icon icon.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. In the left panel under Settings, click System.
  4. Toggle the Use graphics acceleration when available button on to enable it.
  5. Click Relaunch to restart and apply the changes.

Note:
Alternatively, use a non-Chromium web browser, such as Safari or Mozilla Firefox, to access the web experience.
