Access warning and sign-in prompt returned in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

When viewing an ArcGIS Experience Builder experience, the warning message below is returned.

Warning:
Sorry, you don’t have access to the resources from the following servers or organizations. Click Sign in to provide credentials. Click Ignore to avoid loading the resource until you refresh the app.

Cause

• The web maps, feature layers, or locator services within the experience have different sharing permissions.
• The user accessing the web experience does not have the user type or privileges required by the configured widgets or utility services.
• The web experience references layers or services hosted in ArcGIS Online or by another organization or portal.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause, the workarounds provided are applicable.

Match the sharing permissions

Change the sharing permissions of the web map, feature layers, or services used in the experience to match the sharing permissions of the experience. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux: Share items for instructions.

Disable the sign-in prompt and credential banner

In ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 and later, on the General tab of the web experience, toggle Skip sign-in prompt for secured resources and Skip credential banner on. These settings prevent sign-in prompts and credential banners from being displayed and allow only content accessible to the current user to load. Republish the feature layer to ArcGIS Enterprise

1. Download the ArcGIS Online feature layer locally.
2. Add the feature layer as a new feature layer to the ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux: Add files as items for instructions.
3. In Map Viewer, add the new feature layer to the web map. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise on Windows and Linux: Browse layers for instructions.
4. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, add the new web map to the Map widget.
