HOW TO
Location search in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App has been redesigned in the February 2026 release. It has been improved to provide faster and more intuitive results. You will see this updated design in the following places:
In the updated search bar, you can enter your search terms, use your current locations, or select a recently searched location. If you enter search terms, filter the results by addresses, geographies, or points of interest.

If you search for points of interest locations, your results may differ from what you expect. Unlike the points of interest (POI) search workflow that uses data sources like Data Axle, SafeGraph, and Foursquare, the location search for points of interest uses TomTom as a source for its suggestions.
You may be familiar with TomTom as an Esri partner since they are credited in most basemaps. TomTom provides location data and services, such as geographic boundaries and locations of businesses. It does not replace the points of interest (POI) data sources.

Additionally, this redesigned search behavior differs from previous releases, where you could use the Search map tool drop-down menu to launch a points of interest (POI) search workflow.

In order to launch a points of interest (POI) search workflow in the redesigned location search, enter your search terms and filter by Points of interest. The first result uses a different icon and includes a subtitle: Points of interest - keyword search. Click this result to launch the points of interest (POI) search workflow with the search terms applied to a keyword search.
