Instructions provided describe how to determine ArcGIS Desktop 10 licensing and use by performing a status enquiry. A status enquiry shows which products are licensed, how many licenses are available, and which users (if any) are accessing the licenses.

Note:
These instructions describe how to perform a status enquiry in ArcGIS 10 License Manager. To learn about performing status enquiries in earlier versions of License Manager, refer to the article "HowTo: Perform a status enquiry in the ArcGIS License Manager."

Procedure



  1. Open the Command prompt by navigating to Start > Run > cmd.
  2. Type:

    Code:
    cd "C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\License10.0\bin"

  3. Press enter. This changes the current working directory to the specified path.
  4. Type:

    Code:
    lmutil lmstat -a -c service.txt

  5. Press enter. This displays the information previously given by the status enquiry.
