PROBLEM
After installing the ESRI License Manager and rebooting, the system displays a message that the hardware key is missing, not plugged in, or cannot be found.
The parallel port has not been enabled. Windows allows a printer to work even though the parallel port is not enabled.

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Rainbow Technologies\Sentinel System Driver and launch SetupSysDriver.exe.
2. Click Configure Driver and verify a physical address and port type for the parallel port.
Note: If these are not seen, the parallel port is not enabled. Continue with the steps below and enable it.3. Uninstall the Sentinel System Driver by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
