Maps print with horizontal banding and unexpected shading
Last Published: April 25, 2020
Description
Maps may print with unwanted horizontal banding and unexpected shading when printed with HPGL2, COLORHCBS and POSTSCRIPT.
Cause
The IMAGE RESOLUTION is too low for the image data.
Solution or Workaround
Assign a value to the driver (HPGL2, COLORHCBS, PostScript) option IMAGE RESOLUTION. Use a value higher than the default of the intended output device. For example, the HP650 default is 300, so use 400.
