Maps do not print to scale when printing from data view

Description

Map does not print to scale when printing from data view. For example, a line that is 5000' long and the map scale is set to 1" = 1000', when measured on the printout, does not measure 5".

Cause

This is a known limitation of printing from the data view. The size of the data frame adjusts to fit the constraints of the page and may adjust the map scale. The difference in scale is proportionate to the size of the page selected.
