Labels disappear when clipping data frame with a graphic

Description

Labels may disappear when clipping the data frame with a graphic.

Cause

Any graphics added to the default map annotation layer are drawn on top of the labels until the feature weight of the default graphics layer is changed.

Solution or Workaround

To change the feature weight of the default graphics layer follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Label Weight Ranking tool on the Labeling toolbar.
  2. Change the feature weight from high to none for the default.
