PROBLEM
A join of two datasets completes, but values are missing from either a portion or the entire resulting dataset.
For example, when joining a shapefile to a dbf table, the join completes in such a manner that the field names of the dbf are appended to the shapefile, but the dbf portion of the resulting join shapefile doesn't have data in the cells.
Possible causes:
· A shapefile name may begin with a number.
· The file name or its path contains space characters, especially with dbf files.
· A field name in one or both files contains an invalid character, such as a slash, space character, parenthesis, and so forth.
Remove the invalid characters, or rename the file or fields causing the problem.
