Error Message
Joining data to a table or layer through a relationship class returns:
"Join cannot be based on a 1-many relationship class"
Cause
You cannot create a join based on a one-to-many (1-M) relationship class from the one side.
Solution or Workaround
Create the join from the many side or, if the data is one-to-one (1-1), create a one-to-one relationship class.
