Yes, it is possible to customize the overview map zoom level in the Story Map Countdown application. Various users may want the overview map to open at a different zoom level than is applied by default, depending on the application used and the purpose of the map.

Note:
The Story Map Countdown template has been deprecated, but is still available for download and configuration.
1. Download the Story Map Countdown application's template. Refer to the following link for more information on configuring templates.
2. In the template folder, locate the config.js file and launch the file.

3. Navigate to 'Initial zoom level for overview map' section and change the current value to a desired value, for example, from '2 'to '10.'

4. Save the changes and reload the application. The new overview map zoom level is customized.
