Invalid SQL syntax

Error Message

ArcMap Error:
The Create Feature task could not be completed.
Invalid SQL syntax() [owner.tablename]

Cause

The sde.states table has become too large (too many rows). To process the Create Features task, ArcSDE queries this table; the resulting query statement exceeds an Oracle query size limitation.

Solution or Workaround

1. Back up the entire database.
2. Compress the database.
   
3. Execute the query.
