HOW TO

Import an XML document created when using disconnected replication

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Summary

When creating a replica in a disconnected environment, the method used is creating an XML document through the Create Replica wizard. After the replica is created, it needs to be sent to the relative geodatabase by some transfer medium such as CD or DVD. The relative geodatabase then needs to import the XML document to finalize the create replica process.

Procedure

To import the XML document created during the replica creation process, the standard 'Import XML Workspace Document' tool should be used.

  1. Right-click on the database connection for the child replica.
  2. Click Import > XML Workspace Document...
  3. Choose to import Data.
  4. Click Next > Click Finish.
