HOW TO
Related data consists of records linked to a feature but stored in a different layer or table, allowing access to a broader range of information. For example, a data relationship between a layer showing cities and another layer containing fire protection facilities within the cities is created and shared for public information and awareness. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, accessing this related data is essential, as it provides valuable context and highlights the connections between different datasets.
Depending on the requirements and design preferences, several options are available for viewing related data in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
Use pop-ups to view related data
A pop-up displays a feature’s attributes and can be customized to display various information, including related data. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, the ‘Related data’ action provides a list of related data associated with the selected feature.
The related data is accessed through a pop-up that displays when a feature is selected on the map.
Alternatively, pop-ups in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer also allow for the display of related data, and these configurations are reflected in ArcGIS Experience Builder. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Show related records for instructions on displaying related data in a pop-up in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, go to the Map pane and turn the Enable pop-up button on.
The related data is displayed in the ArcGIS Experience Builder pop-up as configured in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer.
To view and interact with the related data for a layer in a widget, enable the data action for the source widget. Refer to ArcGIS Experience Builder: Data actions for more information.

Related data can be viewed by adding a widget to display the related data, then adding an action trigger to the Map widget. When a feature on the map is selected, the interaction triggers the widget to display the related data associated with the parent layer.
