Use Google Fonts in ArcGIS StoryMaps

Summary

To have access to a wide variety of fonts and themes to make a story more engaging and attractive, ArcGIS StoryMaps in Portal for ArcGIS allows for Google Fonts to be an option when creating such themes. This option is not available when logging in to ArcGIS StoryMaps from ArcGIS Online. This article provides the workflow on how to use Google Fonts in ArcGIS StoryMaps from Portal for ArcGIS.

Procedure

  1. Retrieve a Google Fonts API key. Refer to Google Fonts: Developer API for further instructions.
  2. Log in to Portal for ArcGIS using an administrator account.
  3. On the top-right corner of the web page, click the Apps Apps icon button, and click StoryMaps.

  1. Click Profile, and under ADMIN, click Organization settings.

  1. In ArcGIS StoryMaps, in the Themes section, under Google Fonts API Key, insert the Google Fonts Developer API key retrieved in Step 1.
