Use a PPD file in order to obtain a PostScript file in color

Summary

To obtain a color PostScript file, a PPD file must be obtained for the output device. Usually these can be obtained from the printer or plotter vendor or from Adobe.

Procedure

The steps below provide instruction as to how to use the PPD file once it has been obtained.

  1. Copy the PPD file into the ARCEXE\CGI directory.
  2. Edit the CGI.CFG file. Add the following line within this file:

    Code:
    ppdfile=c:\arcexe\cgi\<ppdfilename>

  3. Use DRAW to get a color PostScript file.
