Steps to set up several digitizers on a network such that each PC accesses the correct configuration.

Procedure

As long as each user configures the digitizer (runs CON-DIG) each time they start a digitizing session, there should be no problems. If another user runs CON-DIG between the time the first user issued it and starts ARCEDIT, the digitizer configuration file, con-dig.par, would be changed. To prevent this, do a CON-DIG and copy the con-dig.par in the ARCEXE\CPLLIB to a local directory which has the same name on all machines, ie C:\DIG. Now edit the file arcedit.bat in the ARCEXE\PTOOL subdirectory. Line 18 should read:

TYPE %ARC%\CPLLIB\CON-DIG.PAR  >>%WKSP%FORT1
