Select the opposite features of the features selected

Summary

When working in ArcMap sometimes it is necessary to select all other features that are not currently selected. Instructions provided describe how to perform Switch Selection.

Procedure



  1. With the features selected, right-click on that layer in the ArcMap Table of Contents.
  2. Select Selection > Switch Selection. The features now selected are opposite of the original selected features.
