Summary
In ArcGIS Pro, it is not possible to rotate point features by simply using the Rotate tool in the Modify Features pane, as can be done with line and polygon features. Before rotating point features by using the Rotate tool, modifications must be made in the Symbology pane for the point feature layer. This is because the rotation for point features is defined within the point feature layer’s symbology properties. The instructions provided below describe how to rotate a point feature in ArcGIS Pro.
Procedure
- In ArcGIS Pro, go to the Contents pane. Right-click the feature layer that contains the point symbol to rotate, then click Attribute Table to open the feature layer's attribute table.
- In the top-left corner of the attribute table, next to Field, click Add to add a new field to the feature layer.
