HOW TO

Restore site locations created in ArcGIS Business Analyst

Last Published: September 7, 2022

Summary

In ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App, a site is an area where analysis is carried out. Sometimes, projects become corrupted and do not allow for edits or the addition of new sites. A new project can be created, but access to the site locations are lost.

To create a backup, the sites can be downloaded and exported from a point layer to a shapefile by exporting them to a web map as a new hosted feature layer. The shapefile can then be imported into a new ArcGIS Business Analyst project to restore the lost site locations.

This article describes how to restore the site locations created in ArcGIS Business Analyst.

Procedure

  1. Create a new hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online from ArcGIS Business Analyst.
    1. Open the ArcGIS Business Analyst project.
    2. In the project pane on the Maps tab, under Point Locations (Sites), check the check box to make the point location sites visible on the map.
